Jason Statham Can’t Stop Making Awesome Action Flicks

Jason Statham most recently starred in The Beekeeper by director David Ayer, who has teased a potential sequel to the well-received action film. But the movie star also has a litany of other recent action films under his belt, including Wrath of Man, Fast X (Fast & Furious 10), and Meg 2: The Trench. Statham is simply immune from making boring action films, which vary in quality but all contain his signature fight sequences and incredible stuntwork. In addition to starring in Mutiny, Statham is expected to reunite with Sylvester Stallone and David Ayer on Levon’s Trade, which is based on the first book in author Chuck Dixon’s Levon Cade series, titled Levon’s Trade: A Vigilante Justice Thriller .

Jason Statham is also currently expected to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in Fast X: Part 2, which may just be a bigger sequel to Hobbs & Shaw, in which he starred alongside Dwayne Johnson. But Statham does not always return for every sequel to his popular work, and that includes the Transporter series. Back in 2015, Statham revealed that not returning to that franchise after making three movies was mostly a business decision, as he did enjoy his experience making the first film.

“You know what? It was obviously a great experience doing those films, and I would have loved to keep doing it. But they wanted me to sign on and do three more films without even seeing a script, and they offered me less money to do three than I’d get paid for one! So it was a business decision. I would have loved to have done it, but you can’t really sign on without doing a script, and to sign on for three of them? And to get paid a pittance? I just couldn’t see the value in that.”

Mutiny
currently has no release date.
