Known as a one-stop shop to watch just about anything audiences could want, Prime Video often requires viewers to rent or buy a particular film. However, the streaming service does manage to offer its subscribers plenty of options that are included with their membership without any additional charges. Thankfully, in the coming weeks, the platform has plenty for its customers to choose from.




With a few originals heading to the streaming service, including comedies and dramas, viewers looking for something to watch while they enjoy the cool breeze of their air conditioning won’t be disappointed. No matter what type of film viewers prefer, they will likely find something worth their time next month.


Space Cadet

A Prime Video original, Space Cadet is a comedy about Tiffany “Rex” Simpson (Emma Roberts), who has always dreamed of becoming an astronaut since she was a little girl. Currently working as a bartender, life clearly had other plans for Rex. After finally deciding to turn it all around, she refocuses her sights on her childhood aspirations and applies for NASA’s astronaut program. Unfortunately, Rex’s resume isn’t likely to secure her a place within the program. However, with the help of her supportive best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu), and an extremely embellished application, she manages to secure herself a spot within NASA’s uber-competitive astronaut training program.

Set in 1989, Loves Lies Bleeding is a neo-noir romantic thriller that follows Lou (Kristen Stewart), a reclusive gym manager who falls in love with a rising bodybuilder named Jackie (Katy O’Brian). While en route to a competition in Las Vegas, Jackie crosses paths with Lou and subsequently enters a world she never expected to be a part of. Given the nature of the time and the town in which the story takes place, Lou and Jackie’s relationship isn’t met with welcoming encouragement.


Instead, their love sparks an onslaught of violence that ultimately pulls the pair deeper into the web of Lou’s perilous family, particularly her father, Lou Langston Sr. (Ed Harris). With connections to organized crime, Lou and Jackie are met with danger at every turn. Despite their budding romance, the couple won’t be riding off into the sunset any time soon. The film also stars Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, and Dave Franco. Love Lies Bleeding is streaming on Prime Video on July 9.

Divorce in the Black

The film follows a young bank professional named Ava (Meagan Good) whose life is thrown off kilter when her husband abandons their marriage. Raised to be a good wife, Ava is devastated when she realizes it’s not enough to sustain her failing relationship.

While chaperoning Sophie’s high school choir on a trip to Italy, JJ discovers a nefarious nuclear plot against the Vatican. With a bomb threat looming over them, the pair become pawns in an international terrorist plot bigger than they could have imagined. As CIA Chief David Kim (Ken Jeong) and his son, Collin (Taeho K), who is also Sophie’s best friend, find themselves at the center of it all, JJ and Sophie must do everything they can to save the day. The film also stars Kristen Schaal, Anna Faris, Flula Borg, and Craig Robinson. My Spy The Eternal City is streaming on Prime Video on July 18.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an action spy comedy that follows Gus March-Phillips (Henry Cavill) and his band of highly skilled recruits who are brought together by the British military to take down German forces behind enemy lines during World War II.

Inspired by a true story, the Special Operations Executive, which was founded by Winston Churchill, provided an irregular approach to combating Nazi forces during the war. As a result, the motley crew of skilled professionals helped to shift the tide of the war as well as set the stage for the kind of black operations conducted today. The film also stars Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, and Cary Elwes. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is streaming on Prime Video on July 25.
