Rebecca Ferguson’s Journey from Blockbuster Films to Producing Silo on Apple TV+

Rebecca Ferguson is currently riding high on the success of Dune: Part Two, where she reprised her role as Lady Jessica. The sequel has made its mark with the year’s highest domestic opening at $82 million, accompanied by a global revenue of $182.5 million. Ferguson promised last year that the Dune sequel would top the original film, just based on what the actor had seen and filmed. She said:

“I’m gonna say, Part 2 is better than Part 1. And that’s me without seeing it, that is me saying it based on what I’ve read, what I’ve seen, what I’ve filmed…Running on the sand dunes… feeling so small on these incredible hills. How small we are compared to Mother Nature? I love it.”

Ferguson’s filmography is diverse and distinguished, with notable performances in The Greatest Showman and the Mission: Impossible series, most recently appearing in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. In addition to her film work, Ferguson has ventured into television, both starring in and producing the Apple TV+ series Silo, which is currently filming its second season. In an interview, Ferguson is quite secretive on the series’ progress, stating:

“Nope. I can’t tell you what I’ve been doing, but my god, from six o’clock this morning until literally I walked up five minutes before we started. I can’t tell you, but let’s say…”

The pairing of Ferguson and Pratt in Mercy is a promising prospect for fans of the thriller genre. Both actors have demonstrated their ability to captivate audiences with their performances, and their collaboration in this new project is highly anticipated. The combination of a gripping storyline and a talented cast positions Mercy as a thrilling new entry in the cinematic landscape. Excitement is mounting as the film approaches production, promising a suspenseful and engaging movie experience.
