Kick-Ass and Bullet Train star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been chosen as the next James Bond, according to some mysterious “sources.” As per a report by the British newspaper The Sun, Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of next 007 following Daniel Craig’s departure from the role in 2021’s No Time to Die, with production aiming to begin as soon as later this year.

“Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.

As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”

The studio that makes the Bond movies, Eon Productions, has reportedly now offered the role to Taylor-Johnson, and are awaiting the actor to sign a contract imminently, with a “big announcement” planned. We suggest you take these rumors and the words of these sources with a little pinch of salt.

Known for roles in the likes of the comic book movie Kick-Ass, the MCU’s Avengers: Age of UItron, action movies such as Tenet, The King’s Man, and Bullet Train, as well as Anna Karenina, Godzilla, and Nocturnal Animals, Taylor-Johnson has proven himself across a host of genres and no doubt has both the dramatic and action chops to wield a martini as the next 007.

Taylor-Johnson has been a favorite for the role for some time, alongside Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Regé-Jean Page. The actor previously responded to the ongoing rumors, revealing his concerns that he could jinx things if he discussed them too much.

“You can have something really positive [written about you], but you can also have something really negative that can circulate. You just want to stay in your lane, stay grounded, stay around the people that you love and love you back, and stay in that world. Because the moment you start believing the sh*t people say about you, you’ve lost your f**king mind. You’ve lost it.”
