In The Beast in Me, Danes portrays a withdrawn author grappling with her son’s tragic demise. Her passion for writing is reignited when she learns that her new neighbor was once the prime suspect in his wife’s vanishing. She resolves to make him the subject of her upcoming book, unwavering in her quest to unravel the truth, regardless of the potential perils.

Claire Danes, acclaimed for her roles in Homeland and My So-Called Life, is set to portray Aggie Wiggs’ character. This marks Danes’s first major project with Netflix. The series is borrowing the talents of the creative duo of Howard Gordon and Gabe Rotter. Gordon, known for his work on The X-Files and Homeland, will serve as the showrunner, while Rotter, who also has a background in The X-Files, is the creator and primary writer of the series.
