According to the calendar, summer officially starts in June and Netflix has plenty of great titles that you can stream if the weather is just too darn hot outside. ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Seasons 1-9

After leaving the service in 2017, all nine seasons of the ever-popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother are returning to Netflix this month. The series begins sometime in the future with Ted Mosby telling his children the story of how he met their mother before the series flashes back to modern times. From there, Ted and his four best friends, Barney, Marshall, Robin, and Lily navigate the ups and downs of living in New York and Ted’s dating struggles. Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, and Alyson Hannigan star in the series, which is narrated by the late Bob Saget.

‘Sweet Tooth’ Season 3

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Sweet Tooth is coming to an end this month on Netflix. After the events of the Season 2 finale, Season 3 will find Gus and his friends embarking on a quest to Alaska to find his mother Birdie. Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Stefania LaVie Owen, Naledi Murray, Amy Seimetz, and Adeel Akhtar return for the new season along with new additions Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Cara Gee (The Expanse), and Ayazhan Dalabayeva (Night Swim).

‘Hit Man’

Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Richard Linklater reunites with his Everybody Wants Some star Glen Powell in the rom-com noir Hit Man. Powell stars as Gary Johnson (no, not that Gary Johnson), a college professor who moonlights as a fake hitman for the New Orleans Police Department. Gary’s sky-high reputation is threatened when he meets the gorgeous Maddy Masters, who wants to hire him to pull off a hit on her husband. Gary falls hard for Maddy, and the two’s romance threatens to sabotage Gary’s career. Adria Arjona (Andor) co-stars in the film as Maddy alongside a cast that also includes Austin Amelio (Fear the Walking Dead), Retta (Parks and Recreation), Sanjay Rao, Evan Holtzman, and Molly Bernard (Younger).

‘Dexter’ Seasons 1-8

How I Met Your Mother isn’t the only popular series returning to Netflix this June, as the popular serial killer drama Dexter is also returning to the service. Michael C. Hall stars as Dexter Morgan, a blood splatter expert who lives a double life as a crime solver by day and a serial killer by night. However, there’s a catch. He’s no ordinary serial killer, he’s only killing those who are guilty. The series also stars Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King, Lauren Vèlez, David Zayas, James Remar, C. S. Lee, Desmond Harrington, Aimee Garcia, and Geoff Pierson.

‘Trigger Warning’

Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four) returns with her first movie in five years: Trigger Warning. Alba stars as Parker, a Special Forces commando who tends to her recently deceased father’s bar. However, when a violent gang threatens her hometown, she must use her elite skills to protect her loved ones and her father’s legacy. Trigger Warning also stars Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club), Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Jake Weary (Animal Kingdom), Tone Bell (Survival of the Thickest), and Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent).

‘That ’90s Show’: Part 2

That ’90s Show returns for a new batch of episodes this month on Netflix. Set in 1996, the new episodes have Leia Forman returning to Point Place, Wisconsin, where she reunites with her grandparents, Kitty and Red, and her long-distance boyfriend Jay. However, secrets between the friend group emerge, including Leia’s kiss with Nate. Debro Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Maxwell Donovan, Mace Coronel, Sam Morelos, and Reyn Doi all return alongside some exciting special guests.

‘A Family Affair’

Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge!), Zac Efron (The Iron Claw), and Joey King (The Kissing Booth) team up to star in the romantic comedy A Family Affair. The movie follows Zara Ford, a young woman who works as an assistant for the obnoxious movie star Chris Cole. While some may be thrilled to work in fame and glamour, Zara hates her boss’s guts. However, Zara’s world is rocked when she learns that Chris is now dating her mother, Brooke. Academy Award nominee Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King) directed the movie, which also stars Academy Award winner Kathy Bates (Misery) and Liza Koshy (Players).
