Horror films have always piqued the interest of many movie enthusiasts with a variety of sub-genres to keep audiences entertained. Whether you’re scared by claustrophobic terror or prefer jump scares, there’s a horror film for everyone. While many films in the genre are purely fictional and far from reality, movies like The Conjuring claim to be based on true stories.
In February 2024, we saw films like Lisa Frankenstein, which evoked strong ’80s vibes, and Out of Darkness, which took us back to the prehistoric world. Fortunately, March 2024 has some outstanding horror films, with plenty of movies to please horror lovers throughout the month. Here is a list of every horror movie coming out in March 2024.

Imaginary
Watch It in Theaters on Mar. 8
The concept of imaginary friends has been explored several times, but hopefully, the 2024 film will offer an interesting, new perspective. Imaginary is a horror film starring DeWanda Wise and directed by Jeff Wadlow. Lionsgate has released the official trailer for Imaginary, which will hopefully be another hit for Blumhouse.
The film follows Jessica as she moves into her childhood home with her family, hoping to make her children feel at home. However, Alice, her youngest daughter, forms an unusual bond with her teddy bear, Chauncey, which she finds in the basement. Although Jessica initially brushes it off, she eventually learns that the cute plush bear is anything but innocent.
Furthermore, Jessica owned a similar toy when she was younger, and apparently, Chancey is quite upset that she abandoned it. The film’s cast includes DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Veronica Falcon, Betty Buckley, and many others. Be prepared to experience a string of jump scares when Imaginary hits theaters on Mar. 8, 2024.

Azrael
Watch It in Theaters on Mar. 11
Samara Weaving is great in horror roles, as evidenced by her prior performances in The Babysitter, Scream VI, and Ash vs. Evil Dead. While she’s busy with over seven films in the works, Weaving is stepping back into the horror realm with her latest feature, Azrael. Azrael doesn’t seem to rely on jump scares and demons; instead, it is an action-packed thriller.
The film takes place in a world where no one speaks, and people are ignorant of reality in the face of an ancient evil that demands regular sacrifices. Azrael is a young woman who has escaped imprisonment and fled into the neighboring wilderness after learning that she has been chosen to be sacrificed. Will she escape from her relentless pursuers and, more importantly, the evil lurking deep inside the woods?
Azrael is directed by E. L. Katz, who has previously worked on The Haunting of Bly Manor, Scream: The TV Series, and Swamp Thing. Meanwhile, Simon Barrett, well-known for his work on The Guest, Blair Witch, and You’re Next, serves as the screenwriter. It also stars Vic Carmen Sonne, Katariina Unt, and Nathan Steward-Jarrett. Azrael will premiere at the 2024 South by Southwest Festival on Mar. 9, 2024, and in selected theaters on Mar. 11, 2024.

At the same time, an incident involving an artifact that unleashes the remnants of evil emerges, propelling them on another thrilling quest to save the world. Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is one of the worst films of 2023, at least according to Rotten Tomatoes, yet fans are still eagerly anticipating the sequel.
