As February quickly approaches, viewers will undoubtedly want to make sure they check out the myriad of films Paramount+ has to offer next month. Given the range of options, audiences of all kinds will likely find something worth watching. Although relatively new to the world of streaming, Paramount+ has managed to provide a number of quality films for its subscribers. Thankfully, the upcoming month is no different for the streaming platform.



The Paramount+ original, The Tiger’s Apprentice, will hopefully delight families looking for a child-friendly movie everyone would enjoy. Fans of horror will have a few different films available, and musical lovers will also have a movie right up their alley. In addition, those looking for something heartwarming should look no further than The Peanut Butter Falcon, and for audiences who love films about the old days of Hollywood, Margot Robbie’s 2022 box office flop is a must-watch.


The Tiger’s Apprentice

The Tiger’s Apprentice is an animated Paramount+ original that follows a kid named Tom Lee (Brandon Soo Hoo), a Chinese-American boy. After the death of his grandmother, he meets a man named Mr. Hu (Henry Golding) and learns he’s a descendant of a long line of guardians who each derive their powers from the Chinese zodiac. Sworn to protect an ancient phoenix from those who would bring it harm, Tom becomes the apprentice of Mr. Hu, who has the ability to transform into a mystical tiger. The star-studded film also stars Michelle Yeoh, Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, and Bowen Yang, to name a few.

The Peanut Butter Falcon

The Peanut Butter Falcon is a heartwarming story about Zak (Zack Gottsagen) and Tyler (Shia LaBeouf), who embark on an adventure to fulfill Zak’s dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Zak, a man with Down syndrome, meets Tyler, an outlaw, after running away from the residential nursing home he was living in. To bring him back, Eleanor (Dakota Johnson), a caretaker at the nursing home, sets out to look for him and, in the process, joins in the adventure herself. A modern retelling of Huckleberry Finn, the film was one of the best-reviewed movies of 2019, with a 95% critic and 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Devil’s Workshop

Devil’s Workshop follows Clayton (Timothy Granaderos), a struggling actor desperately in need of work. On the verge of landing the lead in a horror film as a demonologist, he decides to contact an expert in demonic lore, Eliza (Radha Mitchell), to prepare for his audition. When he arrives at her home for the weekend, he quickly realizes he might be in over his head. Forced to come face to face with the troubles of his past, it’s unclear whether Clayton makes it through the weekend unscathed. Also starring Emile Hirsch as Donald, Clayton’s rival actor, the psychological thriller isn’t for the faint of heart.

Cloverfield

Cloverfield follows a group of friends in New York City who set out on a rescue mission after a mysterious creature begins to destroy the city. Filmed through the point of view of a handheld camera, the movie begins with a going away party before following its characters through the streets of the city as each of them tries to survive.

As the night unfolds and the city crumbles to pieces around them, the group comes face to face with some of the most terrifying encounters of their lives. Directed by Matt Reeves, Cloverfield stars Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, and Odette Annable, and is a stylistically clever cross between The Blair Witch Project and Godzilla.

Babylon

Babylon follows the rise and fall of a slew of characters during an era in Hollywood riddled with unbridled decadence and depravity. At a time when film transitioned from silent to sound, ambition and excess were in full form as many actors and actresses tried to make it to the top.

A movie about the old days of Hollywood that looks at dreams, survival, race, and class, Babylon is packed with top-notch performances from some of today’s most prominent actors. A dark comedy starring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Jean Smart, Olivia Wilde, and Diego Calva, the film was directed by Damien Chazelle, best known for such films as La La Land, Whiplash, and First Man.
