Every Original Movie Coming to Netflix in February 2024

2023 was a decent year as far as Netflix’s original feature films go. From Bradley Cooper’s somewhat controversial Leonard Bernstein biopic, Maestro, Sam Esmail’s creepy apocalyptic nightmare, Leave the World Behind, or David Fincher’s return to the thriller with The Killer, there were some highly respectable contributions made by the streaming giant.

While improvements are still to be made if Netflix has any aspirations of replicating 2018 and 2019’s levels of output, which produced the likes of The Irishman, Roma, The King, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, and Klaus, the streaming platform will, no doubt, be seeking to ramp up their collection of high-quality original movies in its portfolio, especially with the theatrical release schedule looking rather sparse for the year ahead. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what’s in store for original releases in February 2024…

Orion and the Dark (2024)

Coming to Netflix on Feb. 2

Netflix has, once again, made real strides in its output of new and original animated content over the last few years. From The Sea Beast and Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio to the critically acclaimed Klaus, the streaming giant has made real inroads in catching up with the competition.

On Feb. 3, another title will be added to the growing collection of Netflix Animation movies, this time in the form of Orion and the Dark, a film that tells the story of a young boy, Orion, who has an overwhelming fear of the dark and is taken by the dark on a reformative adventure, to demonstrate there is nothing to fear.
