As one of the best streaming services out there, Peacock has continued to deliver entertaining television shows since its inception. Thankfully, next month is no different. Each new or returning series resides in a vastly different genre, which means there’s a range of options available to the platform’s subscribers that they are sure to enjoy. The list might be short, but that doesn’t matter as long as the quality of content is high.




From a dramatic love story to a light-hearted comedy and a love-seeped reality show, Peacock’s range of series hitting the streaming service in May will keep viewers glued to their couches. No matter what type of show a viewer might prefer, they’re likely to find something worth watching on the streaming platform in the coming weeks. Even with its short list, audiences are bound to be entertained.


The Tattooist of Auschwitz (Season 1)

Inspired by true events and based on the 2018 book of the same name by Heather Morris, The Tattooist of Auschwitz tells the story of two Jewish Holocaust survivors named Lali (Jonah Hauer-King/Harvey Keitel) and Gita (Anna Próchniak). Nearly 60 years after the war, a recently widowed Lali finally finds the courage to recount his story of the war for the world. After meeting a novice writer named Heather Morris (Melanie Lynskey), he once again comes face to face with ghosts of his past as well as the memories of falling in love despite his horrific circumstances.

Shortly after arriving at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942, Lali was made one of the tattooists charged with marking prisoners’ arms with numbers. He meets Gita one day while tattooing her arm, and the pair experience a moment of love at first sight. From then on, the two are determined to keep one another alive.

However, they’re not necessarily well known in the United States, which means it’s a prime location to find true love. As a result, the show will follow the group as they make their way to Los Angeles to find the woman of their dreams.

We Are Lady Parts is a British comedy that follows an all-female Muslim punk band known as Lady Parts in the UK. When Amina (Anjana Vasan) joins the group as their lead guitarist, cultures, and friendships collide as the group aims to capture musical success. As a microbiology PhD student, Amina is an unlikely candidate for the band, especially when her nerves induce an excessive amount of vomiting and other embarrassing bodily functions. However, her skills are undeniable, and lead singer Saira (Sarah Kameela Impey) knows she’s the perfect fit. As she’s swept up in the band’s anarchic yet joyful energy, she discovers her nerves no longer take over while she’s onstage.


As the series returns for its second season, the band is back with a renewed artistic mission. Following their first UK tour, Lady Parts is riding high on their newfound success. However, when they discover that a rival band has emerged and is now challenging their delicate status quo, they quickly become deflated. As the reality of chasing their dreams begins to set in, the band decides to record their first studio album. When the stresses of juggling their personal lives with their ambitions become overwhelming, they contemplate whether stardom is really what they want.
