In an interview with Collider, Scodelario talked about a shift in scenery and plot dynamics that could freshen up the series. The actress is also keen on exploring deeper into the business mechanics of the Glass empire. When asked what she wants to see in the second season of The Gentlemen, Scodelario said:

“I don’t know. I think something unexpected would be quite cool.
It would be interesting to see Susie and Eddie negotiate the more business side of things and the structure of how it works, and we could learn more about how she’s built this empire over time.
Selfishly, I’d love them to go abroad somewhere. That would be nice.
England was fun, but it was quite cold and rainy. I could see them taking a trip to overseas land.”

The Gentlemen Season 2 May Deepen the Relationship of Scodelario and James

The Gentlemen Season 2 could subtly shift its focus from the high stakes and cutthroat criminal environment to exploring the intricate relationships that fuel the series. Among them, the partnership between Susie Glass and Eddie Horniman is ripe for exploration. Scodelario talked about the possible evolving dynamics between her character and Theo James’ character, Eddie.

The alliance between Susie and Eddie is anything but straightforward. It can be characterized by a balancing mix of conflict and cooperation. Scodelario commented:

“I think that’s definitely what we would explore.
What’s interesting about Susie and Eddie is that they do work very well together, even when they are at loggerheads, even when they seem to be on opposing teams or not trusting each other, they have a very interesting chemistry and a very good work dynamic.
Whether they like it or not, they would have to explore that a little bit more.”

How Netflix’s The Gentlemen Fits Into Guy Richie’s Movie Universe

Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen did fairly well in theaters, and it stands to reason the new Netflix series adaptation will do just the same.

Their partnership, formed under the pressures of business necessity and personal ambition, evolves into a complex web of mutual dependency and strategic maneuvering.

Susie has worked with a lot of these kinds of people. It’s a regular occurrence for her to deal with the lords of the manors and I think she recognizes immediately that Eddie is different.
There is something behind his eyes that tells her that he could be quite useful to her in a different way, and that she could use that for her advantage and to further along the business more. She recognizes something in him that I think he doesn’t realize in himself, at the very beginning, and that’s what she tries to shepherd and mold throughout the season.”

Susie, with her astute understanding of power dynamics and deep-rooted connections, sees potential in Eddie that extends beyond the conventional.

The Gentlemen
Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
