One Piece Fans Might Hate This Possible Connection Between Luffy, Gol D Roger and Blackbeard

One Piece is one of the longest and most popular anime of all time. It is like a fine wine, getting better with age. Eiichiro Oda’s creative hands have taken it a level further with each arc. Regarded as one of the Big Three of anime that has helped revolutionize the anime industry, One Piece has entered its Final Saga with Eiichiro Oda, giving the fans a rough limit of 5 years. One of the best things about Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus is the mysteries that come along the story.

The mangaka does well to keep it alive as long as possible and connect several dots with those mysteries. Due to these mysteries, the fans often come up with fan theories of their own. While some are interesting, others are not. Recently, a theory surfaced online which shows a potential between Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Luffy, and Blackbeard, and the fandom might not be a big fan of that theory.

Several One Piece fan theories surface online regularly. But a certain fan theory has caught the eyes of the fandom. Even though it holds quite a lot of ground, people are not liking the theory that much. The theory claims that the ‘D’ clan members have a connection to JoyBoy. JoyBoy’s pirate group was named the Dawn Pirates, which signifies the D.

To pay homage to their captain, all the members of the Dawn Pirates took the first initial of the Dawn Pirates, D, in their name. So, all the members of the D clan are descendants of the JoyBoy’s pirate crew. It was their way of keeping their captain’s name alive through the ages due to his achievements. The theory also claims that JoyBoy is a Giant since a giant Strawhat was shown to be preserved in Imu-sama’s chamber.

It shows that he was one of the Giants of Elbaf and an ancestor of Jaguar D. Saul. The name ‘JoyBoy’ is a given name like Monkey D. Luffy’s given name, Strawhat. His real name is Jaguar Binks, which is formed from the initials of his given name, J and B. He is the original owner of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and was a living embodiment of freedom and liberation.

One Piece Fandom Is Not A Big Fan Of The Fan Theory

The wild fan theory is one of the most interesting theories that the One Piece fandom has come across, yet they seem to discard it. One of the main reasons for that it might create a possible connection between Blackbeard and Monkey D. Luffy. Blackbeard is the embodiment of evil, while Luffy is his absolute opposite.

Their ancestors being close friends might change the course of the story, and the fans are not ready for that. But at the end of the day, it is still a fan theory, and does not need to get so worked up on it. Maybe Eiichiro Oda has everything planned out and will give us the surprise of a lifetime. For the moment, it is better to sit back and enjoy the masterpiece known as One Piece.
