Rob Schneider Breaks Silence After Daughter Elle King Slammed His Parenting & ‘Toxic’ Views

Rob Schneider Breaks Silence After Daughter Elle King Slammed His Parenting & ‘Toxic’ Views

Actor Rob Schneider has responded to daughter Elle King’s criticism of his recent opinions on drag and the LGBTQ+ community. Following King’s recent appearance on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, where she spoke about her relationship with her father and his views, Schneider has now publicly asked for her forgiveness. Schneider recently appeared in an interview on the Tucker Carlson Show where he was asked to respond to King’s comments. He apologized for his lack of fatherhood, his behavior and attitudes towards her, and wished the best to King, adding that he “loves her completely.”

“Well I just want to tell my daughter, Elle, I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed. Clearly I wasn’t. I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings. I love you completely and I love you entirely.”

Rob Schneider opens up about his new family-friendly comedy, which features his own family members, and chats up movies and show business.

While he did not respond to King’s disagreement with his views, Schneider was apologetic about the state of their relationship. Carlson followed by asking how Schneider didn’t fire back at his daughter’s words about him. He stated that he “loves King, and he wants her to be happy and heal from all this.” He added that he doesn’t take anything she says personally, and he feels terrible about how their tumultuous relationship turned out.

“I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky.”

Elle King Discussed the Difficulties She Suffered in Childhood Because of Rob Schneider

Rob Schneider’s response comes after King addressed their relationship recently, during which she discussed her childhood, saying they weren’t really close until much later in life. She recalled that she was constantly lost in the shuffle during filming days, and she’d get into trouble if she interrupted a take. Another issue she spoke about was her weight and tattoos, which King said have always been a problem for Schneider. King explained:

“I was like a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp… and then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and didn’t lose any weight. I had already started getting tattooed and it was like 108 degrees. So I had to wear sweaters because my dad was very anti-tattoos or any form of self-expression.”

She further called him out about his opinions. “You’re talking out of your ass, and you’re talking sh*t about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights. And it’s like, get f*cked.” This comes after Schneider wrote a series of controversial tweets aimed at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony. The event featured an interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper”, but instead of the usual image of Jesus and his disciples, drag queens took their place. In another tweet following the ceremony, he added that the show was a “disgusting attack on Christianity,” and “openly celebrates Satan.”

Schneider has recently been the subject of much criticism due to his controversial views. At the time, King emphasized that she has no intention of mending her relationship with her father, and that she wants nothing to do with him. She said:

“You can want someone to change so much. You can’t control anyone else’s actions, and you can’t control people’s feelings. All you can control is how you react and what you do with your feelings.”

Rob Schneider recently starred in Adam Sandler’s 2023 film Leo on Netflix, and in the (somewhat ironic) comedy Daddy Daughter Trip (2023), which he directed.
