Every Anime Show on Crunchyroll in April 2024

[ad_1]

For years, Crunchyroll has consistently been the most popular streaming platform among anime enthusiasts, thanks to its diverse collection of series and weekly simulcasts. Whether you’re looking for a popular anime from the 2000s or a brand-new ongoing series, Crunchyroll is the go-to destination. In fact, the streaming service upped its game in March 2022 when it acquired Funimation, which boasts the largest library of English anime dubs.

With hundreds of titles and millions of paid subscribers using the platform, Crunchyroll regularly adds new anime shows and movies. In Winter 2024 alone, we’ve seen the releases of Solo Leveling, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Classroom of the Elite, but this spring will be much more exciting. From the most awaited remake of a successful light novel-based anime to a highly anticipated sequel to an isekai series, here’s every anime series coming to Crunchyroll in April 2024.

Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf

Streaming Apr. 1

Spice and Wolf is one of the most popular light novels, with a successful seventeen-year run. Just two years after the light novel’s publication, an anime adaptation was released in 2008 and was well-received by fans. Despite the subsequent release of a second season and an OVA, there has been no further development on the project. After more than a decade, Passione Studios (Ishura, High School DxD, and Mieruko-chan) is giving Spice and Wolf a well-deserved remake.

The new anime, titled Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf, follows Kraft Lawrence, a traveling merchant, who finds a young wolf-like girl asleep in his wagon. After discovering that she used to be a deity named Holo, he strikes a deal with her and agrees to accompany her on his travels until she reaches the northern lands of Yoitsu. As Lawrence journeys across the countryside with Holo, he realizes that this voyage has both ups and downs. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf is streaming on Crunchyroll on Apr. 1.

Re: Monster

Streaming Apr. 1

Re: Monster is an upcoming isekai anime based on a light novel published from 2012 to 2017. This fantasy anime is identical to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime in that it follows Tomokui Kanata as he reincarnates as Goburou, the weakest goblin. Despite his disadvantages, he has an edge over the inhabitants of the new world: memories from his past life and an unusual status system that allows him to become strong by eating. Will Goburou be able to survive in this new life? Re: Monster will be available to watch on Crunchyroll on Apr. 1.

The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3

Streaming Apr. 5

The Irregular at Magic High School is a one-of-a-kind anime that blends magic and sci-fi elements while doing a terrific job at depicting the narrative of Tatsuya Shiba, a magically inept student at First Magic High School. Following a spectacular second season in 2020, fans have been eagerly waiting for a third, and it has finally arrived. Crunchyroll describes the official synopsis of Season 3 as follows:

After a year full of turbulence, Tatsuya and Miyuki’s lives were slowly changing as they became second year students. They are now living together with Minami Sakurai, who was sent to them by the Yotsuba Family, and Tatsuya has transferred into the newly established Department of Magical Engineering. Though he planned to live a peaceful school life with Miyuki by his side, the world would of course not allow such a thing… And once again, the curtain opens to a series of turbulent days.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2

Streaming Apr. 7

Despite its slow-burn fantasy storytelling and Greyrat Rudeus’ perverse antics, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is among the best isekai stories ever written. The light novel, released in 2014, is known as “The Godfather of Isekai” and illustrates this fact several times in each volume. Season 2 premiered last year, and its second part is slated to be released this spring.

The anime tells the story of a shut-in NEET who, after being run over by a vehicle, is reborn in a fantasy world where magic exists. While stuck in the infant body of Greyrat Rudeus, he regains his past life’s memories and pledges to have a better one this time around. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is streaming on Crunchyroll on Apr. 7.

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World Season 3

Streaming Apr. 10

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World is arguably the best isekai comedy anime. It generates comedy using situational humor rather than the ecchi elements seen in most mainstream anime. For this reason, the anime has had a large fan base since the Legend of Crimson film was released in 2019.

The plot revolves around Kazuma Satou, a video game addict who dies after being hit by a truck on his way home from a convenience store. He finds himself in a realm between death and heaven, where he journeys to a magical world in need of salvation from the demon king. However, he drags the goddess Aqua with him as he steps into the world, unaware that her powers are useless here. How will Kazuma survive in this new world, knowing little or nothing about what may happen in the future? Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World is streaming on Crunchyroll on Apr. 10.

Black Butler: Public School Arc

Streaming Apr. 13

Black Butler is an A-1 Pictures hidden gem that is often underappreciated despite its respectable TV ratings. Thus far, the franchise has released three seasons, a film, and an OVA episode, with a fourth set to be released on Crunchyroll in April.

The series follows Ciel, a young boy who inherits the wealth and power of Phantomhives following his parents’ untimely demise. Despite many people viewing him as a child who doesn’t know any better, Ciel and his demonic butler, Sebastian, face countless threats that plague England while unraveling the mystery behind his parents’ deaths.
